During the chilly Winter months our hair and scalp often suffer. The combination of cold outside weather and indoor heating can wreak havoc on your strands. stripping moistureand leaving it dry and causing breakage. but don’t despair we have some tips to avoid this fate.
1.Deep condition.

2. Use leave-in conditioner to combat static.
Floating, fine strands are a common occurrence during winter, which is a key sign of dryness. To help reduce static be sure hair is hydrated with regular conditioning, then lock it in with a leave-in conditioner. We recommend Eleven Leave-In Miracle Hair Treatment.
3. Forgo platinum hair colour for a darker dye this winter.
If you were thinking of a change, winter might be a good time to dial down the blonde ambition. “Anytime you can switch off is good. Platinum is awesome, but it’s so incredibly damaging for the hair.” Leaving the roots a little darker and applying a demi permanent hue until the weather is kinder. “That way, it washes out, and the process won’t be that detrimental when you’re ready to go back to platinum again.”
4. Cut down on your heat-heavy styling routine.
All that heat and dryness will result in split ends and breakage. The use of heat protection, including leave-in conditioners, to prevent breakage. 5. Wash less.

But in the winter, it can live up to its name a little too literally and dry hair out. In this case, we suggest combing the dry shampoo in from the root of your hair to about an inch down. This will help pick up any product build-up that may be causing dryness. Then lather the ends in oil: The drier and thicker the hair, the more oil it will take. 6. Dry scalp.
A change in weather can cause your scalp to peel, In the winter, there's less humidity in the air, which can dry out your scalp. When putting on your winter sweaters and scarves, part your hair down the back of your head in the middle as if you were making low pigtails, pull towards the front, then wrap your scarf around your neck.
