Monali Hair Lashes we aim to provide beautiful eyelash extensions for our customers and support our lash stylists in keeping our clients satisfied. Part of this care is making sure that the client goes home armed and ready for perfect lash aftercare. Today’s blog is going to review some vital information to make sure that you know exactly what to do to keep those lashes luscious.

To make sure the extensions last as long as possible without irritating the eyes, you will want to take good care of those extensions once you leave the salon. The goal is to help the extensions last until the natural lash they are resting on naturally sheds. In other words, keep those lashes lasting as long as possible for maximum fullness and thickness.

First things first. You will want to keep their new lashes from getting wet for the first 48 hours after application. This includes swimming, showering, or any type of activity that allows moisture to build up on the lashes. After 48 hours they should be fine to wash with our Lash Shampoo twice a week, brushing gently with your take home lash brush. Brush your extensions daily with an eyelash brush to remove clumps or lashes sticking to each other.

Avoid oil-based makeup or beauty products around the eye or lash areas. These can cause the glue to break down resulting in lost extensions. In addition, you will want to avoid waterproof eyeliner and Mascara, as those can also interfere with the lash bond. Cleanse the eye area with our specially formulated makeup remover wipes. Also, make sure you don't rub your eyes or pull at the extensions even if there is an itch. You don't want the extension to fall off because you may have lifted them off your natural lashes.

For a one off Set of Lash Extensions they should last upto 6 weeks, The extensions gradually coming out with your natural lash shedding cycle. Prepare for them be addictive as once you try them you may not want to go back! If so plan to refill your lashes between 2 to 4 weeks. Monitor retention and be mindful of the time in between refills.

There are a few do’s and don'ts when it comes to your lashes and sleeping. Sleeping on your back is the best way to preserve your lashes, however, if you’re a side or stomach sleeper, try catching your Zzz's on a silk pillowcase. Fiber’s in a traditional cotton pillowcase can snag and pull your extensions. The effects of dragging lashes on cotton, rather than gliding on silk, helps prevent premature shedding and (bonus!) wrinkles and allergic reactions due to silk’s hypoallergenic properties. For added protection, slip on a domed sleeping mask to safeguard your lashes from rubbing. A sleeping mask also blocks out light 100%, so you can get undisturbed beauty sleep and wake up looking rested, rejuvenated and lash-ready for the day.
